EDUCATIONAL TOURS
Annual events held by the museum and chapter:
CHRISTMAS TEA
held annually in December on the Sunday of the local Christmas Walk. It is open free to the public as an annual ‘thank you’ to the community.
CRAFT SHOW
held in early October at Floral Hall on the Calhoun County Fairgrounds.
HOME TOUR
In conjunction with the Marshall Historical Society’s wonderful annual tour on the weekend after Labor Day, the Governor’s Mansion is open to welcome guests and share the house and community history.
GENEALOGY WORKSHOP
The Chapter holds a workshop once a year to encourage people to work on their own family history and to encourage potential members of the DAR.
PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE
While the museum is a friendly, welcoming place, a paranormal group from Detroit visits annually to share their findings and experiences in our museum.
Rentals:
The Governor’s Mansion Museum is also available to rent for events. We love to encourage people to hold their gatherings in our historic structure. We have a kitchen, restroom, and tables/chairs all available for use. A delightful setting for receptions, open houses, business meetings, family dinners, parties, and weddings. Add a touch of history to your next event!
