Step back in time and discover how the events of the American Revolutionary War shaped the lives of ordinary people across the Thirteen Colonies. The American Revolution Experience—presented in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)—invites visitors to explore the personal stories, choices, and challenges faced by those who lived through one of the most pivotal moments in history.

Home Tour

Welcome to the Midwest’s longest-running home tour! The Marshall Home Tour consists of six to eight privately owned historic homes representing various architectural styles. Tickets also cover admission to local historic sites such as the Honolulu House Museum, Marshall Historical Museum at the GAR Hall, Capitol Hill School Museum, Governor’s Mansion, Walters Gasoline Museum, and the Marshall United States Postal Service Museum.

CHRISTMAS TEA

Held annually in December on the Sunday of the local Christmas Walk. It is open free to the public as an annual ‘thank you’ to the community.
CRAFT SHOW

Held in early October at the B.E. Henry Building across from the museum
HOME TOUR

In conjunction with the Marshall Historical Society’s wonderful annual tour on the weekend after Labor Day, the Governor’s Mansion is open to welcome guests and share the house and community history.
GENEALOGY WORKSHOP

The Chapter holds workshops occasionally to encourage people to work on their own family history and to encourage potential members of the DAR.
PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE

While the museum is a friendly, welcoming place, a paranormal group from Detroit visits annually to share their findings and experiences in our museum.
Rentals:



The Governor’s Mansion Museum is also available to rent for events. We love to encourage people to hold their gatherings in our historic structure. We have a kitchen, restroom, and tables/chairs all available for use. A delightful setting for receptions, open houses, business meetings, family dinners, parties, and weddings. Add a touch of history to your next event!
